Adoption Fees Starting Sept 1st 2019
Puppies & Adults 8wks- 6yrs $450
Senior Dogs 7 & up $200
Cat Adoption Fees: $100 for 1 or $150 for 2
Specialty Cats $150- $250
Senior Cats 8 & up $75
These fees cover only a fraction of what we will spend to care for the animals that we take in. Several of our dogs have needed heart worm treatment and both cats and dogs have needed expensive surgeries to improve their quality of life, and in some cases, to save their life.
Please also keep in mind that we have to pay for food, crates, blankets, beds, toys, grooming supplies, and anything else that our rescue dogs and cats could possibly need. Any additional contribution you would like to make at the time of the adoption or in the future is greatly appreciated.
Think our fees are a bit pricey? If you decide to get a dog or cat that is advertised as free to a good home, here are just some of the expenses you will incur if you are a responsible pet owner:
Female Dog: Spay $300-$1000 Male Dog: Neuter $200-$900
Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations $25-$30/piece
Heartworm Test $30-$50
Microchip $30-$70
Total cost to you: $475-$1150
About adoption fees:
Lola’s Landing Animal Rescue Inc is a private, 501c3 not-for-profit organization that relies completely on private donations and our own fundraising to operate and save lives. We receive no federal, state, or government funding, nor do we receive funds from any national animal welfare organizations. Adoption fees help pay some of the costs for providing all animals at our rescue with basic needs, medical care, and when necessary, behavior rehabilitation.
Our cats are vaccinated for Rabies and FVRCP, FELV/FIV tested, spayed or neutered, and microchipped before adoption
Reptile and Small Animal adoptions vary depending on the specific animal.
Our dogs are vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, and microchipped before adoption age appropriate
